LAFAYETTE, LA. (FOX44) - Two men who burglarized a Lafayette home and fled the scene are now in custody.

On Thursday, Oct. 27, just after 2:00 p.m., deputies were alerted that a residential burglary had occurred. Additional calls came in indicating that the neighbor of the victim was following a green Mercury that had just left the victims home with the suspects in it.

The neighbor followed the car until the suspects in the burglary fired gunshots at the witness along I-49. The witness's car was disabled but not before they got the license plate number. An inquiry of the license plate number revealed the registered owner of the green Mercury. Police went to the home of the car's owner and arrested the two suspects from the robbery.

Police were able to recover the stolen items and the suspects were charged with the following: Norris Landor was charged with first degree murder and burglary, and Jarvis Ardoin was charged with burglary.

The following are pictures of the suspects Landor and Ardoin respectively.
