Altercation turns into assault, two arrested

AMITE, La (FOX44) — Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff Daniel Edwards reports that on August 14, 2011, Deputies Sean Scott and Bobby Guy arrested two males responsible for violently beating several subjects after a physical altercation erupted on Carroll Dr, in Amite, LA.

Blake Burns, 20, and Darryl Miller, 21, from Amite were taken into custody after an investigation led deputies to the discovery that these two subjects severely injured two males when a fight broke out at an Amite residence. These two subjects also brandished two hand guns and threatened several by-standers as they fled the scene.

The two victims were transported to NOMC for treatment.

Both subjects were transported to the parish jail and properly booked and charged. Burns was charged with Aggravated Battery and Miller was charged with Simple Battery.
