BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) - Marucci is holding their second annual awards show, Marucci Live, headlined by Cal Ripken, Jr., on Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Baton Rouge River Center to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Baton Rouge and honor the top baseball players and moments of 2011.
This event will serve dual purposes; to raise money for the local Boys & Girls Club and highlight the top baseball moments and milestones of 2011.
“This event is where we get to honor our players and their achievements both on and off the field,” said Marucci CEO Reed Dickens.
19-time All-Star and Hall of Famer, Cal Ripken, Jr. will not only headline Marucci Live, hosted by Marucci’s non-profit foundation, but it will also feature a live panel discussion with Major League All-Stars.
The award show will include dinner, cocktails, a live and silent auction, and multiple surprises for guests in attendance.
Marucci, located in Baton Rouge, features handcrafted wood bats and innovative aluminum bats for elite players of all ages. Marucci has the only aluminum bat designed and tested by Big Leaguers and Forbes Magazine recently named Marucci one of the most promising companies in America. Players such as Albert Pujols (2009 National League MVP), José Bautista (2010 and 2011 Home Run Champion), and Bryce Harper (Number One 2010 Draft Pick) serve on Marucci’s professional player board where they design and test each aluminum bat.
