NEBRASKA (FOX44) -- A man known as the “Armless Archer" took aim at a world record.
Matt Stutzman was born without arms, but he hasn't let that stop him. Now, a professional archer, Stutzman tried to hit a target 230 yards away.
It took four shots, but Stutzman hit the bullseye and now has his name in the record books.
"I was born this way, so I know when I was little, and I needed something done, my parents would kind of say 'Hey, figure it out yourself.' Because they did that, when i got older, i didn't have to rely on anybody,” said Stutzman. “I could just figure things out on my own."
That's a new world record, beating the old standard by 14 yards.
Stutzman's only just beginning. He wants to represent the United States in the 2012 Paralympic games.
