Arrest made in March shooting on Monet Drive

BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - Jimmy Brown, 21, was taken into custody for killing 23 year-old Wayne Pierson in the beginning of March.

Baton Rouge police say Pierson was shot after gambling with a group of people on Monet Drive.

When police arrived, they found Pierson with a gunshot wound to his head. He later died from the injury while receiving treatment at Baton Rouge General MidCity Hospital.

Brown has been charged with Second Degree Murder and Illegal Use of a Dangerous Weapon.
