Arrest made for stop light shooting in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) -- An arrest was made for the shooting death of a 21-year-old man back in February.

The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested Erick Scott, 20, of Baton Rouge at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4 and he was taken into custody without incident.

Scott is accused of killing Kevin Johnson, 21, of Denham Springs on February 14, 2012. Officials say Johnson was the passenger in a vehicle at a stop light located on North Acadian Thruway and South Choctaw when the suspect walked up to the vehicle and began firing shots.

Scott was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with First Degree Murder, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property and Illegal Possession of a Firearm with Controlled Dangerous Substance.
