AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – In Australia, cyclone Vasi is barreling towards the country now, with wind gusts reaching more than 100-miles per hour and as much as three feet of rain expected. More than 9,000 people have been ordered to evacuate their homes.

India – A protest today against some American colleges that allegedly handed out phony visas to Indian students. It’s believed these "bogus" schools raked in millions of dollars with the sham. Now hundreds of the foreign college students face deportation.

England – A disease infecting thousands of trees and the rest of the landscape. It’s known as "sudden oak death," the same disease that decimated millions of trees here in the U.S. Around ten thousand trees are getting the ax to hopefully stop its spread.

Germany – Video tape is on the runways at fashion shows there but not to record the catwalk. It’s actually material used to make these purses. Designer Lucretia Lovera says why not, it's strong and affordable and very shiny.
