The "barefoot bandit" working on plea deal in Seattle
SEATTLE, Wa (FOX44) - The man who became known as the "barefoot bandit" pleaded not guilty to all charges stemming from his little cross country adventure.
Here he is in a sketch taken inside a federal courtroom in Seattle.
Prosecutors claimed twenty year old, Colton Harris-Moore, ran around barefoot stealing cars, boats and planes.
Lawyers for the teen fugitive had said they hoped to have a plea deal reached by the end of last month.
They're not saying what the plea deal would include, but prosecutors are putting up a fight, after word that the bandit would try and sell his story for a book or movie deal.
Moore's cross country adventure came to an end on July 11th of last year when investigators finally caught up with him in the Bahamas.
Attorneys for both sides had hoped to have a plea deal in place before today's court appearance.
