BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) - Even though the summer heat is still going, folks in Baton Rouge got a chance to be a little bit cooler with a Hip-Hop festival this weekend.
BR Hops is one of the most popular festivals held in Baton Rouge.
Right outside the Manship Theater, street artists showcased their talent with a graffiti competition, songwriters shared the soul of Hip-Hop, and inside, red stick residents learned Hip-Hop dance moves.
Organizer Roxi Victorian says it's a great way to show off the culture of Hip-Hop.
"They thought it was something cool, and new and innovative, they were really excited about bringing something new to Baton Rouge, and then once the ball was rolling, we just sorta snowballed" - said Artistic Director Roxi Victorian
