BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - Two fisherman involved in a tragic boating accident leave a family broken. Two men, an uncle, and his nephew, drown in the Mississippi River this weekend.
Joshua Peters, and his uncle Larry, set out to fish for trout, Saturday, July 23rd.

They launched a small flat bottom boat into the Mississippi from under the new bridge in Baton Rouge around five o-clock.

That's the last time, their family spoke to the men.

Larry's body was found near Donaldsonville Sunday, July 24th, Joshua recovered 24-hours later more than 50 miles away, in Baton Rouge south of LSU.

Wildlife and Fisheries agents say they weren't giving up, without giving that family some peace.
We are told Larry Peters is survived by three brothers. His nephew, Joshua just got married two weeks ago, and has a baby on the way.

Their death is still under investigation, and Wildlife and Fisheries is still searching for their boat.
