BP pays five million dollars to help rebuild Louisiana tourism

BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - BP has paid out the first five million dollars to reviatalize the state's tourism.

It's part of an agreement that calls for BP to give Louisiana thirty million dollars over the next 18 months.

The money - according to Secretary Scott Angella - is in account with the Community Foundation of Acadiana.

Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne will talk about the first payment the week of March 6 - March 13.
