BR General shooter turns himself in to police
Darrell Garner turned himself in to the Baton Rouge police in the early morning hours on Monday, September 13. Officials say it happened around 1:00 a.m. We will have more on this today at 9 p.m.

BATON ROUGE (WGMB) - There's been a shooting at Baton Rouge General Hospital early this morning.
Here's what we know so far. Baton Rouge Police responded just before one this morning to Baton Rouge General Mid-City. Two people have been shot. The hospital was put on lock down, and Baton Rouge Police are still searching for the shooter. The hospital was taken off of lock down at 5 this morning.
A hospital spokeswoman tells Fox News Baton Rouge's Kelsey Scram this is the first time there's been a shooting inside the hospital. The spokeswoman says hospital staff responded quickly, and the first priority is caring for the two injured patients.
One victim is OK, and the other victim sustained life-threatening injuries. Right now, investigators aren't releasing their names. A Baton Rouge General Mid-City Spokeswoman says she's hopeful Baton Rouge police will find the shooter in short order.
BRPD says, the man who pulled the trigger is a black man named Darrell Garner. He's got a lengthy criminal record, and officers say - he's armed and dangerous. If you can help police find Darrell Garner, call 911.
