CATS gets a grant to keep moving
BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - The bus system in the Capitol City has enough money to keep running, for now
The East Baton Rouge Mortgage Finance Authority has finally approved a half a million dollar grant for CATS.
This helps close the bus system's over one million dollar shortfall.
CATS CEO Brian Marshall says keeping the bus system running is key to keeping the Capital City moving.
Marshall says CATS still hasn't found a dedicated revenue source for next year.
He says with a projected deficit of nearly two million dollars, the bus system will run out of money by August 2012 if no one is found.
