AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – China, a teenage boy sold his kidney to buy an IPad 2. Chinese TV says the 17-year old got in touch with a kidney broker online and went under the knife. According to reports the teen is in bad condition right now.

The Hague – Ratko Mladic with his first appearance before the U.N. war crime tribunal on eleven counts of indictment charges. The former Bosnian Serb General is charged with atrocities during the Bosnian war, including, a horrific massacre of 8-thousand Muslim men and boys. Mladic refused to enter pleas to what he called obnoxious charges.

Australia – Sculptors in Sydney are hoping their life-sized polar bear will draw attention to global warming. The bear is carved out of an 11-ton block of ice. The six hour job is now left to melt away. The sculptors are okay with that because underneath is a bronze skeleton.

United Arab Emirates – Feast your eyes on the world's largest gold ring. Its 140-pounds decorated with 615-swarovski crystals and it’s up for display in Dubai. It cost about 547-thousand dollars to make in 2000. With the surge in gold prices, it's now worth closer to three-million dollars.
