AROUND THE WORLD (FOX44) – China, at least 22-people are feared dead after a deadly landslide in Southwest China. Rescue teams have confirmed a dozen dead so far. They spent all day searching for the rest, who at this point, are presumed dead. Officials say a makeshift home was buried in sludge the length of a football field, heavy rains triggered the disaster.

Mexico – Police have found a mass grave with 11-bodies in Durango. It’s the fourth mass grave found in the city this month. This city is in the middle of a drug war over smuggling routes.

Syria – Amateur video uploaded Monday shows protesters toppling a statue of former Syria leader Hafez Alased. People in the video are prying the statue from its foundation, then roll it off a wall, and beat it. Alased is the father of the country's current leader. These people want that guy out.

Israel – Celebrations to mark the 63rd year of Israel’s independence. Hundreds of people gathered on the beach to watch an impressive show in the sky. They saw fighter planes flying in formation and doing all kinds of awesome tricks. Israeli Independence Day is a joyous celebration in Israel. Palestinians will mark it next week as a day of mourning.
