Compromise in Washington could happen over debt ceiling
WASHINGTON, D.C. (FOX44) - The spirit of compromise appears to be renewed on Capitol Hill.
The 'gang of six', a bipartisan group of senators, presented a plan that would shave 4-trillion from the deficit over the next decade, while calling for one trillion in new tax revenues, or tax increases.
The 'gang of six' plan does not address the debt ceiling, but could provide ideas for a deal in the coming days.
Washington must come to some sort of agreement on a spending plan by August 2nd, to keep paying the bills.
