BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - A victim's stolen credit cards have been used to purchase over $3,500 in merchandise, and East Baton Rouge detectives are searching for the thief.

A victim’s keys were stolen on Dec. 30, 2010, from the YMCA’s locker room off of Old Hammond Highway.

The thief then used the keys to steal the wallet out of the victim’s car.

He proceeded to use the credit cards that were in the wallet at Target, Office Depot and Best Buy, which are all on Millerville Road.

Photographs supplied by Office Depot show the perpetrator - a black male wearing a long sleeve gray shirt and black pants. He is shown making a purchase using the stolen credit card. He drove away in what looked like a gold-colored Chevrolet Avalanche.

Anyone with any information should contact the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office at 225-389-5000 or Crime Stoppers at 225-344-STOP (7867). A cash reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest.
