Crook gets away with nearly 10,000 in cigarettes from Circle K

BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is looking for information about a suspect who stole nearly $10,000 worth of goods from a Circle K in Baton Rouge.

Officials tell us the suspect walked into the store on Brightside Drive around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 21, 2011. They say he took 4 boxes of cigarette cartons and carried them to a silver/gray Mercedes that was parked near the store.

We’re told the value of those boxes is estimated at $9,600.

The suspect is described as a black male, heavy build, wearing a blue shirt, blue jean shorts and red baseball cap.
