Davina Chapman's family 'relieved' trial is over
Larry John Snyder Jr., found guilty of murdering Chapman
KROTZ SPRINGS, La (WGMB)--For Dolores Sanders, the last two days have been nothing if not emotional.
"The anxiety, the heart palpitations, the inner trembles...oh God it was exhausting," says Sanders, Chapman's mother.
The trial for the man accused of murdering her daughter, 32 year old Davina Chapman, is now over. With a 10 to 2 vote, the jury found Larry John Snyder guilty of 2nd degree murder.
"He was sitting there beating his head, and that's the first thing any kind of emotion that I've seen from him," says Sanders.
Sanders hasn't been allowed to say much. She was called as a witness in the trial. But Thursday morning, this mom was all smiles.
"Lots of ups and downs, but now there are ups."
Sanders says, she drew from the strength of family and friends.
The next step is a motion hearing on December 1st. Snyder is expected to appeal the decision. A sentencing hearing will be scheduled later in the month.
