Deputies tracking armed robbery suspect in Walker

WALKER, LA (FOX44) — The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Department is tracking down an armed robbery suspect and his accomplices. They’ve recovered the vehicle used in the robbery, but now they’re trying to find the persons responsible.

The robbery happened at 10:18 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Babes Corner Grocery north of Walker almost outside of Livingston Parish.

Officials say a man walked into the store wearing a mask and was armed with a weapon. They say the man jumped the counter and forced the cashier to empty the register. They have not yet determined how much money was taken.

We’re told the man left the store and got into a truck that had two individuals waiting inside. We’re told one of the suspects in the vehicle may have been female. The light blue ford truck seen above was recovered about an hour later on side street about three miles from the store.

Deputies are trying to track these suspects down.
