BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) - Saturday State and City police agencies held their annual Drug Take Back day.
It's a chance for residents in the Capitol City to come clean with old prescriptions and medications that could turn narcotic if left in idle hands.
Police officers say one of the biggest problems in their fight drugs is forgotten medication, and Ellen Gannuch says her grandchildren are too special to her for her to not clean out her old medications.
"I always keep them up to where they couldn't reach them, and now I don't even want them to have it aroud if its not even something I'm gonna use anyway, so I just decided this is the best way to go." Ellen Gannuch, a concerned Grandmother, said.
