New DVD Releases

BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) – This week’s DVD new releases have a little bit for everyone.

“Something Borrowed” is a romantic comedy about Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin), a single female that falls in love with her best friend’s fiancé (Colin Egglesfield). Her best friend is played by Kate Hudson. The film also stars John Krasinski.

“Jane Eyre” is a romantic drama based on the novel of the same name. Jane Eyre, played by Mia Wasikowska) falls in love with her employer (Michael Fassbender). She also uncovers a secret her employer was trying to hide.

“Priest” is an action packing sci-fi movie about a Priest (Paul Bettany) that goes against the church to save his niece (Lily Collins) from vampires. The vampires are out to turn the little girl into one of them, and the priest is the only one that can stop them.

Let the kids back in the room for “Hoodwinked Too! Hood vs. Evil” as the crew sets out the rescue Hansel and Gretel.

Then Fido can take a seat as “Marley & Me: The Puppy Years” follows the rambunctious pup. This installment of the franchise also gives the pup a speaking voice.

For a spiritual journey, “The Grace Card” follows a [police officer dealing with tragedy; his partner, a former minister, is he only one who can help him find his way through the ordeal.

Grab your bowling shoes and flashback with “The Dude” on the Limited Edition Blu-Ray release of “The Big Lebowski”. Extras include an interview with the real-life “Dude” and Jeff Bridges’ photography.

Rounding out this week’s releases is the latest season of the smash Showtime hit “Dexter”. Season 5 picks up with Dexter becoming a newly single father. How will the added responsibility of being a single parent pry into his serial killer antics?
