HOLLYWOOD HOOKUP (FOX44) – Funny guy Eddie Murphy will get to host the Oscars. Producers of the show say Murphy is a comedic genius and a groundbreaking performer. Murphy's been in the business since he was 15-years-old and joined the cast of SNL at 19-years-old. The 84th annual awards ceremony will air live on Sunday, February 26th from Hollywood.

– Regis Philbin announced his exit date. The 80-year-old said today he'll retire from "Live with Regis and Kelly" on November 18. The show will continue with Kelly Ripa who joined him as co-host 10-years ago. No word on who’s replacing him.

– "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" is back on the air after a suicide. The show premiered its second season on Bravo Monday night, weeks after Taylor Armstrong’s husband Russell hanged himself. The show was shot months before but many critics and viewers think it’s "life goes on" attitude was in bad taste.

– Manny Pacquio is promoting a fight. The superstar boxer decided he'd do it this way at a press conference leading up to the November 12th bout against Juan Manuel Marquez. The duet performed with singer and songwriter Dan Hill.
