Edwin Edwards to be released
BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) – On July 6th Louisiana's former governor Edwin Edwards will be a free man. His 6 month house arrest will be over.
Edwards was sent to a half way house in Baton Rouge 6 months ago.
Edwards says he will not talk to the media tomorrow.
He's holding a press conference on July 30th.
He has announced on Facebook that he is engaged to a woman from Alexandria, and he's planning a book tour with his biographer, Leo Honeycutt, with a Baton Rouge book signing scheduled at Barnes and Noble on July 16th, and there are even talks about a reality TV show.
Edwards served eight years in federal prison for a scheme to rig riverboat casino licenses.
