BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) — "It's hard losing a son and I don't know how I'm going to through this, but I'm going to miss my son, going to miss Darius." says Carol Robinson.
Carol Robinson's emotions are still raw after her middle son Darius Robinson was gunned down outside of their home on Clayton Court. "It's a big loss. He was a part of me, part of my family and he's going to be missed."
Darius was a landscaper and his family says he was someone everyone seemed to like, so they are shocked that someone would want to take his life, "[He] loved his mother, loved his brothers, just had an undying love for family, friends, always had a beautiful smile all the time," says Darius' uncle Erroll Holmes.
But with all of the violence going on around them, Darius' family knows they aren't the only family feeling the pain, only the latest. "It's hard to predict when and where it'll happen, so there's always a family that's in misery, somebody's in pain, somebody's son, grandson, could be a husband, could be a grandmother," says Holmes.
A reality Darius' mother now knows painfully well, "It's very hard on the family, friends. We were real close and it's just very hard right now."
