HOLLYWOOD HOOKUP (FOX44) – Mattel is issuing a limited edition “Farrah Fawcett Barbie” The doll is based on the iconic 1976 poster of the actress in a red swimsuit. The collector’s item will be available at www.barbiecollector.com and at leading toy stores. Part of the proceeds will go to the Farrah Fawcett Foundation, benefitting cancer research. Fawcett died in 2009, 3-years after she was diagnosed with cancer.
– Joe Jonas is hitting the road with Britney Spears. The singer telling People Magazine he'll open for Spears on her European tour. The 21-year-old says as a kid he had a poster of Spears on his wall, calling the tour a dream come true.
– It’s the end of an era; Jerry Lewis will no longer be serving as the Muscular Dystrophy Association's National Chairman. Lewis has been the MDA chairman since the early 1950's. This year's telethon was supposed to be his last hoorah. MDA is only saying that 85-year-old Lewis has completed his run and will not be replaced.
