Five arrests made in Gonzales home invasion triple homicide case
GONZALES, LA (FOX44) – Two more suspects have been arrested in the case of a triple homicide home invasion that happened in Gonzales.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two more arrsts have been made. That brings the total number to five.
Last night, Tuesday, March 6, the first three individuals were placed into custody.
Travis Moore, 19, of Baton Rouge, Rolondo Stewart, 22, and Michael Aikens, 35, both of Prairieville – were all arrested and charged with three counts of First Degree Murder for the home invasion deaths of Shirley and Irwin Marchand and Doug Dooley.
Aiken was a former employee of Mr. Marchand. A rare coin collection worth half-a-million dollars was stolen during the robbery.
Sheriff Jeff Wiley says a tip led to Tuesday's arrest and that Stewart was actually already in jail, accused of shooting another man within the last few days.
