Former LGP Abstinence director to spend 70 days in jail, pay massive restitution fee

BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) — Out of Federal Court, US Attorney Don Cazayoux announced the former Director of the Louisiana Governor's program on abstinence will spend 70 months in federal prison.

Gail Ray Dignam, 64, will also have to pay nearly $400-thousand in restitution.

Dignam was convicted on two counts of mail fraud.

Evidence showed she used her position at the GPA to execute contracts that benefitted her and her family.

After her 70-months in prison, Digman will have to spend the rest of her life on supervised probation.
