This is the flying car, a fully functioning car with wings that unfold turning it into an airplane.

The quarter of a million dollar vehicle runs on regular gasoline, and requires a sport pilot license to operate.

Federal officials have given it the green light so now the company, Terrafugia, expects to start selling the flying car next year.
