BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) - A 911 call came through on the night of March 8 that led detectives to make four arrests on robbery charges.
East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office Armed Robbery Detectives received a “burglary in progress call while patrolling the Glen Oaks neighborhood.
The victim was startled by a loud noise and grabbed a baseball bat for protection. She saw three males walking through her house; she recognized one of them as her next door neighbor.
The victim fled into a different part of her house after one of the suspects grabbed the bat out of her hand and attempted to hit the victim. She then called the police.
The robbers took a 19-inch flat screen television, a 50-inch flat screen television, and an XBOX 360 before fleeing the scene of the crime.
Officers arrested three juveniles and one adult after formulating leads.
The juveniles were sent to the Juvenile Detention Center. All three were charged with Aggravated Burglary, Simple Criminal Damage to Property, and Felony Theft.
Latosha Wells, 30, drove the car that was used to store the stolen items. She was charged with Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Burglary of An Inhabited Dwelling, and Simple Criminal Damage to Property.
Deputies recovered both televisions, but not the XBOX 360.
