BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - At LSU on July 12th, Governor Bobby Jindal signed a new bill into law to help put emphasis on student success.
Grad Act 2 point 0 builds on the LA Grad Act by rewarding colleges that cut programs they don't need, and colleges that continue to produce a high rate of graduates.
The governor said, the more these colleges comply with the law, the more they'll give individual choice to decide where funds are spent.
Jindal said it should make things more organized, and save money.
The governor also signed a bill which transfers UNO from the LSU system, and hopes to strengthen both colleges by joining them together.
