Grand jury indicts men allegedly involved in Gonzales triple homicide
GONZALES, La (FOX44) — An Ascension Parish grand jury indicted the five men allegedly involved in a deadly home invasion in Gonzales. Michael Aikens, Travis Moore, Devon James, Bernard James, and Rolono Durrell Stewart were charged with three counts of first-degree murder Wednesday.
According to police, these five went into a Gonzales home on February 17th and murdered Robert Marchand and his stepson Douglas Dooley. Marchand's wife, Shirley, died in the hospital weeks later.
All of this was allegedly over a safe filled with a rare coin collection. It was stolen from the home on the day of the murders.
Travis Moore was arraigned Thursday and pleaded not guilty. His trial is set for April 17th. The other men are still waiting on their arraignments.
