A group of biker's riding to bring awareness to organ donations
BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - There were a few extra bikes on the roads in Baton Rouge on the morning of July 5th.
The riders are taking their message about organ donation to the streets.
Leading the pack is kidney recipient David Landsberg. He received the life saving organ after a boy, just six years old, lost his life. His parents decided to honor their child by letting his organs and tissue live on.
Now Landsberg is biking 50 miles in all 50 states in just 50 days, to get more families to talk about organ donation, and more people to sign up to save a life.
Riding alongside Landsberg, a group from The Bike Shop on Highland Road. The shop served as the donor sign up station today. You can register to be an organ donor anytime at any office of motor vehicles.
