"Hanger Women" arrested at Mall of Louisiana
BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office says it's broken up a crime ring, dubbed the "Hanger Women".
Deputies were called to JC Penny at the Mall of Louisiana. Store security was watching Amika Brisker, Monica Brisker, and Ruthie Smith.
Police say the three women are part of the“Hanger Women”, an organized crime ring that tie knots in dresses and then stuff other clothes in to the dress to make a getaway.
Over 120 stolen items were received from the thieving trio, totaling more than $10,000
