Haunted house ticket sales benefit former New Orleans Saint
NEW ORLEANS, LA (FOX8) -- Hundreds turned out at the House of Shock in Jefferson Wednesday to support former New Orleans Saint Steve Gleason. Gleason is battling ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, and a portion of the haunted house ticket sales will benefit him.
Gleason, who's best known for his role in the September 2006 game against the Atlanta Falcons in the Superdome, revealed recently at the age of 34 that he's in the fight of his life.
Gleason's close friend and former Saints teammate, Kyle Turley performed live with his band at the Halloween festival. Turley said he knows all too well what his good friend is facing with ALS because his grandfather lost a battle with disease
Turley and hundreds of others hope Gleason's positive outlook will keep inspiring others in the fight to find a cure.
