BATON ROUGE,LA (FOX44) — Renovations are now complete at the Belle of Baton Rouge Casino and Hotel in Baton Rouge.
Mayor-President Kip Holden took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday. Changes include enclosing the promenade and remodeling the casino. These changes cost the casino about $7 million. The Mayor-President says it's money well spent,"Because of the fact that they've invested in this boat is guaranteed to bring in more people and at the same time when people come to our city they know they will have some choices in gaming wherever they go, but in particular in Baton Rouge and downtown Baton Rouge."
The renovations took about six months to complete. They provIded more than 45 people with jobs.
