Mayor President Kip Holden is trying again.
He says the City-Parish needs to pass a bond issue valued in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
Holden brought the issue up at last night's Council Meeting.
He says the bond is something the city needs. The money would be used to fix infrastructure problems in the Captial City. This proposal is different from the last two because the $250 million for the alive project isn't included.
Officials hope to bring it to voters on April 30th.
It's too soon to know how much of a tax increase this will be - in 2009 - it meant a half cent sales tax increase and almost a 10 mill property tax.
