NEW ORLEANS, La (FOX44) - A source close to the situation says New Orleans and Sacramento have verbally agreed to trade Carl Landry to the Hornets for ex-LSU Tiger Marcus Thornton.
The deal is expected to become official before Thursday's NBA trade deadline. Neither team has announced the trade.
The Baton Rouge native Thornton was held out of Tuesday's practice. Landry missed the Kings Tuesday night game.
Thornton averaged 7.8 points per game this season with the Hornets. Landry averaged 11.9 points and 4.8 rebounds a game for the Kings.
