LEWIS, IOWA (FOX44) - The town of Lewis, Iowa may be home to the world's largest bicycle.
Local welder Duane Weirich went to work on the project after learning the annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa was coming to town.
Weirich is unsure if the bike qualifies for an official world record, but it has attracted the attention of 'Ripley's Believe it or Not.'
Cyclists along the cross-state trip can stop in Lewis, and take pictures with the bicycle, which measures 32 feet long and 18 feet high.
Weirich says the bike isn't even finished yet, he plans to make it actually function.
