BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - The mayor was also at the Press Club of Baton Rouge on July 25th to address for the third time the bond proposal will be up for review.
The mayor said our infrastructure is in bad shape. It's no surprise to residents, but there's up to seventy five bridges that need to be replaced in the parish. Our roads are rated a 1 or 2 by the National Department of Transportation.
Holden said with the new proposal, the safety of Capitol City residents on the roads should be a number one priority.
The mayor also spoke of nineteen miles of streets in desperate need of concrete lining, starting at Jones Creek.
