Fourth Louisiana movie to make the cut
BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) -- A talented Louisiana filmmaker is headed to one of the most prestigious independent film festivals in the world. LSU's screenwriter in residence, Zack Godshall, will premiere his new movie at Sundance this weekend.
Out of nearly 10,000 film entries, his movie Lord Byron made the cut. It's a tragic comedy about a middle-aged man searching for something more in his life. This is Godshall's second film showing at Sundance.
"It was really surreal because we made this movie without any money, with three people, nonprofessional actors in Lafayette, so it was really a shock and a surprise and a great honor," says Godshall.
Godshall is one of only three filmmakers to ever bring a movie to Sundance. He is the only one of those three that has had two movies make that cut.
