LABADIEVILLE, LA — The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in solving recent Burglaries in the Labadieville area. Detectives have responded to three burglaries in a span of 24 hours. The suspects broke into the American Legion Hall, Knights of Columbus Hall and the St. Philomena Church Thrift Store. The suspects took over $200 dollars from the Church Thrift Store, and several cases of Coca Cola and Sprite from the two Halls.

It appears that the suspects are entering these places by breaking the windows or prying the doors open. One of the suspects cut his or her self during the course of the burglary at two locations. Detectives will submit blood samples to the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab in order to obtain DNA profiles for further processing and identification of suspects.

Sheriff Mike Waguespack asks that if anyone has any information please contact the Detectives Division at (985)526-1627 or the Communications Division at (985) 369-2912.

Tips can also be sent to Bayou Region Crime Stoppers by dialing 800-743-7433 or texting GIVEATIP and your message to 274637 or visiting crimestoppersbr.org.
