Lafayette company has fatal explosion

Clarence Leleaux, 52, has been indentified as the man that was killed due to injuries received by being near a gas explosion.
A second worker was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The incident appears to have involved operations being conducted on a gas well and is being investigated by State, Federal and local agencies.
LAFAYETTE, La (FOX44) - A gas explosion occurred near Lafayette at the Hilltop Energy Oil and Gas Production Facility on the afternoon on March 31.
One person will killed and another was injured. No names have been released yet.
FOX44 was told work was being done on a gas well head, and the pipe ruptured. Officials say they found a small gas leak, but it poses no threat to the community.
We called to get statement from Hilltop tonight. There was no answer at the Houston-based company.
