BATON ROUGE, La (FOX44) - One out of four girls, and one out of six boys will be the victim of sexual abuse before age 18.
It's those numbers that have experts talking about the need for the Baton Rouge Children's Advocacy Center.
On June 29th, a new therapy room was dedicated at the center.
Todd Graves, founder of Raising Cane's, funded the room, where kids will be interviewed by law enforcement following allegations of sexual or physical abuse.
This environment will help ease the pain and trauma of that experience for the children.
Gwen Graves will be making herself and Cane available on an as needed basis when kids come to the center.
The Baton Rouge Advocacy Center is privately funded.
