Local rapper O G Smoov facing 65 years in prison if convicted
DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (FOX44) — Rapper Keith J. Johnson, aka O G Smoov (Pure Dope Records), was arrested by the Livingston Parish Police Department on Tuesday, April 10 for possession of illegal drugs and a hand gun. He’s currently being held on a $150,000 bond.
The Sheriff’s Department conducted a search of the 39-year-old rappers home in Denham Springs. During the search they found 454 grams of marijuana, three doses of Alprazalom and a .25 caliber hand gun.
Reports note that Johnson, who was convicted of shooting a woman in 1991 and convicted of numerous counts of illegal drug possession charges over the last twenty years, cannot legally possess a firearm.
If convicted of all of his charges he could face up to 65 years in prison.
