Local school on the big screen

BATON ROUGE, La (WVLA) -- A local elementary school will make its premiere on the big screen tonight. You'll remember, NBC's new show School Pride was in Baton Rouge back in July to give Lanier Elementary a much needed makeover.

The hosts of the show visit rundown schools all around the country. With the help of community volunteers, they fix up the facilities in just seven days.

Tonight, Rave at the Mall of Louisiana will play host to community members, teachers, school administrators, and volunteers to preview the episode. Tomorrow, Lanier Elementary students will watch the episode at school.

It premieres on our sister station, NBC33, tomorrow night at 7.
