LOUISIANA (FOX44) - The national report card is out, and it shows education in Louisiana is still falling short.
The report looks at reading and math skills of fourth and eighth graders across the country.
Students in Louisiana score about 11 percent lower in than the national average.
Now these scores are lower than a state-wide assessment we received back in June.
That's because those standards are lower than the national standards, and that's not just here in Louisiana, several states set limits that are different than the national scale.
