Louisiana Teachers have new evaluation system

Today, The Louisiana Association of educators unveiled a new evaluation system for public school teachers.

The LAE says it's a combination of the old teacher evaluation system called LATAAP and the new teachers peer review, as well as students test scores..

LAE President Joyce Haynes feels that this model will be a more accurate way of measuring teachers' performance rather than just test scores.

"Our team model is the best thing going, cause the teachers on a campus know where the handicaps are already and can work with one another to make things better, pull them selves up by the bootstrap, and basically have great test scores." LAE President, Joyce Haynes, said.
