BATON ROUGE, LA (FOX44) - Around Baton Rouge Saturday the polls opened at 6 a.m., and residents were up making sure their voices were heard.
Some of the key positions voted on saturday were a District 61 State Representative seat, The Livingston Parish Assessor seat, and a new Coroner seat.
Several people say that if you don't vote, then you have no right to complain about current leadership in the state.
"We have to come out here and vote, everyone, it doesn't matter who you are, if you have the opportunity to be out here, and live in this great country please come out here and vote. It really does make a difference regardless what it is." a local resident, Edmundo Truitt, said.
