Tigers fall to 4-14 in SEC
NASHVILLE, Tn (FOX44) - Vanderbilt scored double digit runs for the third straight game and completed the three game sweep by defeating LSU, 10-7. The Tigers fall to 4-14 in the SEC. LSU cut a six run deficit down to two runs in the seventh inning but that was as close as they would come as the Commodores held on to improve to 14-4 in the SEC.
"They have kept a positive attitude no matter what the obstacle and they refuse to fold. I’m very proud of these players, and we’re going to keep working hard and make good things happen,” LSU head coach Paul Mainieri said following the loss.
LSU is back in action at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday as they host Nicholls St. in Alex Box Stadium.
